Three Paida and La Jin stories “Out of Africa”

A woman read the SOWETAN article and came to seeTshidiat her home in Soweto from afar by a black kombi taxi. She has very bad asthma, ulcers and a number of other things wrong with her. She had to stop working and could not drive her car. We called her today for the second time after perhaps two months. The woman is fine and off to a party in her car this weekend. QED.

有位妇女在《索韦托人报》上看了有关拍打拉筋的相关报道，就乘坐了一辆黑色旅行车，从远处前往所报道的热心女青年Tshidi在索韦托的寓所。该妇女哮喘严重，胃溃疡，还有一大堆不适，不得不停止工作，也开不了车。此后大约两个月，我们今天再次给她电话时，这位妇女已经正常了，打算自己开车参加这个周末的派对。证明完毕。

I had a black man coming to me who only got my number on the day a back operation was scheduled for him. I agreed to see him immediately and he cancelled the operation. He had badly swollen legs, could hardly walk, was in serious pain and came with his little suitcase with all the medicine and pain killers he was taking. I did not even look at the medications and told him to throw away his little suitcase. I assured him he would soon be better. Paida and La Jin showed me quickly that he had other serious problems such as weak arteries and heart. He left with a smile.

有位黑人患者向我求教，他是在计划做腰背手术的那天才得知我电话号码。我同意立即见他，他取消了手术。他的两条腿浮肿得很厉害，严重疼痛，几乎不能行走，来时还带着一个小提箱，里面装满各种药物，包括正在服食的止痛药。我看都没有看一眼那些药品，就要他把那装药的小提箱扔掉。我确信他不久就会好起来。拍打拉筋立马还让我知道他心脏和动脉血管衰竭。他微笑着走开了。

I called him twice since then and today, about a week since he saw me. He is walking with ease and without back pain, the swelling of his legs is gone and he has not taken any medication for three days. His sons are clapping him vigorously and he proudly told me he had Sha all over his body. I confirmed once more that this was a sign of healing and nothing to be scared of.

那之后我拜访了他两次，大约一周后的今天他来看我。他现在行走自如，没有腰背痛，两腿的肿胀消散了，已经三天没有吃药了。他的孩子们用力帮他拍打，他的整个身体到处都出痧了。我再次认定这是愈合的迹象，没什么好害怕的。

He and his family and friends people can’t believe his recovery.

他本人，他的家人，以及朋友，都不敢相信他的身体居然如此恢复。

A good looking young black man had a bad limp and was not a “a happy camper”, at all. I asked him what caused that and he explained he had a bad car accident some years ago. He had an operation on his spine and was going to have another one soon. I brought him here and showed him how to clap and stretch. Slap, bang, thank you M’am. You should see him. He has just blossomed and his whole posture and movement has so much improved within a period of two weeks.

有个英俊黑人小伙走路跛行，一点不像乐天派，总是闷闷不乐。一问得知是数年前一场车祸所致。他脊椎做过手术，不久还要做一次。我把他引到我处，告诉他如何拍打拉筋。你应该见见他，青春年少，在短短两周内动作幅度和姿势的改善竟然如此之大！

I am just awed. The amazing thing is that neither Tshidi nor me have any medical training.

我只能敬畏。这种神奇的事在于Tshidi和我都没有给予任何医疗训练。

There is no need for us to make claims that Paida and La Jin cures medical conditions. People practicing it do that for us. We simply relate what they experience. Very powerful and difficult to find fault with.

我们没有任何必要在此为拍打拉筋的疗效造势。实践此法的人们也并非为我们而做。我们无非只是叙述他们当事人的体验。它如此有力量，难以挑剔。
